MARCH STUDENT OF THE MONTH

The SRA is composed of students who represent all regularly enrolled
students at Harrisville Central School. The group serves as an
intermediary group for the consideration of all school problems which
are of vital interest to the students. They promote a better
understanding of the privileges and responsibilities of students and
faculty. They assist in the promotion of school activities.
The SRA appoints student representatives to the Shared Decision Making
committee. The group also works to build better school moral and
promotes, in all possible ways, the general welfare of the students,
faculty, and school community. |

Projects For 2007-2008
-
During
November and December, SRA held a Food Drive for the local Food
Pantry. Students in all grades brought in non-perishable food
items. A dance was held in November to raise money for the
Food Pantry. Stars were put on the Christmas Memory Tree for
$1.00 donations. And the Penny War was held for a week in
December. The sixth grade class was the winner of the Penny War
trophy! The
proceeds of these three events, along with some donations, allowed the
SRA to present the local Food Pantry with a check for $1000. The
SRA members thank the students, faculty and staff, and community
members for their support.
