Algebra/Math A10 |

1) Homework 15%
2) Participation/ Preparation 5%
3) Quizzes 30%
4) Tests 50% |
Test grades are weighted much heavier and students should
study appropriately. Warm-ups are given in class and used as bonus
points which can be added to their test grades. I will correct
them, indicate their value and return them to the student. It is
their responsibility to redeem the bonus points by returning them to
me. The bonus points will be added to their test grades.
They will not be automatically added on.
Homework is graded as follows: Check - 100% if assignment is completed fully, accurately and on time. Redo - Means that you must fix the question(s) listed and turn it in within three days to get credit for this assignment or receive a zero. Zero - Receive a zero if an assignment is not turned in, if a redo is not completed, or an assignment is turned in partially completed. Points - Sometimes I will grade a homework based on a 100 scale. You may not be notified ahead of time when I do this. This means you are being graded on how accurate your answers are. Late Work - Assignments turned in late will be graded on a point basis. The check system only works on papers that are done on time. There will be ten points deducted for each day the assignment is late up to 3 days, after which I will no longer accept the assignment. Participation/Preparation - You will begin the 10-week marking period with a 100. If you come to class unprepared I will deduct 5 points. Being late to class without a pass will be a 10 point deduction. If you are not working when asked it would be a 10 point deduction. If you are sent to ISI it will be a 20 point deduction. I reserve the right to add any additional point deductions for circumstances that I have not listed. |
