Mrs. Durkish & Mr. Pratt's 5th grade classes take the responsibility for raising and lowering the flag everyday.  Since the flag flies everyday school is in session, it becomes tattered over time.  Congressman McHugh is obtaining a new American flag that has been flown over our nations capitol, and Assemblywoman Scozafava has given us a NYS flag.  There are very few schools in NYS that fly the state flag.  Our 5th grade students are proud to take care of our flags and we thank them for doing a fine job.
